4th of July Menu

This 4th of July Menu is designed for two adults but could easily be scaled for a large gathering. To be completely honest, we aren’t huge 4th of July people.

Fireworks are awful and terrorize our pets and veterans with PTSD. Our country needs some WORK. I struggle to be proud and celebrate when there is so much division, hate, discrimination, and judgment at the forefront of our reality.

BUT we get a day off of work, and we love any excuse to cook a good meal. We start the day by tending the garden and then either visit our horse or hide from the heat in front of the TV. Around 4:00, we start preparing our cocktails and charcuterie.

Breakfast

Simple, quick, and easy farm fresh breakfast.

Appetizer

grapes, peppers, cheese, olives, nuts, and crackers on a wood cutting board.

This charcuterie board should be light on your tummy – an appetizer to snack on while you sip a cocktail or cook.

side

Corn, Basil & Tomato Salad in a glass bowl on a wooden table.

This salad is just incredible with freshly picked sweet corn and garden ripe summer tomatoes

Main Dish

Brats w/Pretzel Rolls

No recipe for these, just grill, toast the buns, and add mustard. Add caramelized onions if you wish.

Cocktail

Made with homemade blackberry syrup and a hint of earthiness from fresh rosemary.

Dessert
