Vegetarian Charcuterie Board
We do our best to limit our meat consumption to 1x a week. That tends to get thrown out the window when we make fancy meals on the weekends. I created this Vegetarian charcuterie board recipe after realizing we ate grilled sausages AND salami in one meal. I couldn’t let that happen again!
This charcuterie board should be light on your tummy – an appetizer to snack on while you sip a cocktail or cook. You can swap out ANY ingredients you want in this recipe. We throw in whatever is in season in the garden – green beans, tomato slices, grilled zucchini, carrots, artichoke hearts, or celery.
Making the Board
You can plate this creation as fancily or simplistically as you want. Sometimes we place it all on a cutting board in a beautiful arrangement. Others we throw the block of cheese, a knife, and a box of crackers out on the counter and call it good. Remember, the more care you take as you prepare this dish, the higher vibe it will be, and high vibe food fuels your soul.
If you want to make this vegan, swap out our cheeses with your favorite vegan ones. For people who prefer to avoid gluten, all you have to do is buy gluten-free crackers.
I love putting the olives, sauces, nuts, and pickles in mason jars because it makes clean up super easy. I just put lids on the jars, throw them in the fridge, and toss any leftover crackers back into their boxes.
We typically eat our vegetarian charcuterie board straight off the platter with our hands. Fancy food and casual dining are where it’s at for us. BUT if you prefer a more refined style of dining, small plates and toothpicks or desert forks are perfect for this dish.
